Costa Daurada
Costa Daurada or the “Gold coast” is the coast of
Tarragona
province in the autonomous Catalan region. The name of the coast is because of long sandy beaches. Costa Daurada is the resort region, only in two small towns there are ports - in Villa nova and La Geltrue and in El Vendrel.
The coast resort area is very popular for various kinds of sea sports - windsurfing, yacht sailing, diving, fishing and others. The picturesque embankments have lots of visitors due to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants which are popular due to amazing see food kitchen. Small port shops have all possible beautiful souvenirs and curious sea gifts - conch of all forms and sizes, sea stars, corals and other.
People who are interested in active rest will be acquainted with picturesque tourist routes on mountains having a characteristic red shade, and also go sightseeing ancient places. Close to the coast there are picturesque mountain villages - Vandellos, Masriudoms and Masdemboquera, representing interest for those who like and interested in old times, and for those who just want to see romantic natural places.
